Abstract

NOTE: Text or symbols not renderable in plain ASCII are indicated by [...]. Abstract is included in .pdf document. The problem of the behavior of flat, unstiffened panels under combined shear and compression load was investigated for one length over width ratio and three thicknesses. Due to the lack of data obtained in a limited amount of time, no definite conclusion was reached. Until further investigation is carried out, the ultimate failure stress relationship of [...] is recommended. The effect of shear load on the modulus of elasticity and compression load on the shear modulus was found to be nonexistent.
