Abstract
NOTE: Text or symbols not renderable in plain ASCII are indicated by [...]. Abstract is included in .pdf document. In the heavy quark and large [...] limit, heavy baryons can be identified as bound states of heavy mesons and light baryons. The binding potential can be calculated under chiral perturbation theory, and is simple harmonic when [...]. The spectra and properties of these bound states agree reasonably well with the observed heavy baryons. In this framework, some non-perturbative quantities, like the orbital excitation energy and the slope of the Isgur-Wise form factor, can be evaluated. Moreover, the same universal Isgur-Wise form factor describes the semileptonic decays [...] and [...]. The formalism can also be used to study the spectra, stabilities and decay modes of exotic multiquark states.
