Abstract
A general report covering the method used in obtaining flight test and wind tunnel data for the investigation of profile drag and the thickness of the boundary layer with its transition point is presented, together with some of the results and conclusions reached. Methods of data reduction with the difficulties encountered are given. After final results of the profile drag for flight test are obtained, they are compared with T. N. 695. A detailed description of the apparatus with the technique used for both the flight tests and the wind tunnel is also presented.
