Abstract
[Introduction]: In view of the fact that the relative merits of Y and delta systems have not yet been definitely established, the American Institute of Electrical Engineers has set aside the annual Pittsfield. meeting for the discussion of the subject, and has requested a number of papers for presentation at that time. The present investigation was undertaken in order to furnish material for a paper to be presented at this meeting, in the hope of bringing out some points upon which little has as yet been published.
