Geisberg, R. L. (1950) Transient analysis methods for determining the longitudinal stability derivatives of a submerged body from free flight tests. Engineer's thesis, California Institute of Technology. http://resolver.caltech.edu/CaltechETD:etd-02052009-152837
The stability derivatives obtainable from dynamic free flight tests are determined. Methods for reducing flight test data to the form of stability derivatives using the Fourier integral and the Laplace transform are developed.
